The specialisation course Migrazioni, integrazione e democrazia. Profili
giuridici, sociali e culturali has come to its second edition. It consists in ten
sessions focused on different topics related to migration from the 7 th September
to the 16 th November 2018 (14:00 to 17:30), amounting to a total of 35 hours.

The sessions are carried out on the following Fridays: 7 th September, 14 th
September, 21 st September, 28 th September, 5 th October, 12 th October,
19 th October, 26 th October, 9 th November and 16 th November.

The course aims to answer questions on the topics of migration and integration.
Migration is in fact a phenomenon that has a significant impact on both our
social and political lives. Migrants from Africa and Asia arrive in Europe escaping
persecution, war, natural disasters, poverty, and extreme misery. They face
dangerous journeys hoping for a better life. How many are they? Where do they
come from? Where do they want to go? What kind of reception do they get once
arrived? What are the different models of integration?

It is to answer these and other queries that the UFTDU has organised the second
edition of the specialisation course, aiming to provide an interdisciplinary
perspective on the subject from a legal, economic, demographic and
anthropologic standpoint, as well as journalistic, sociological, medical, and
psychological, attempting to offer a broad yet insightful overview.

The course is recommended to legal practitioners, NGO representatives, civil
servants, cultural mediators, doctors, journalists, social workers and to
whomever is interested to specialise on the issue.

The course will accept a maximum of 90 participants.
To participate a payment of 600 € is required (500 € for students, practitioners
and under 30) as a reimbursement of expenses. A 50 € discount will be applied
for entries before the 31 st July 2018. Throughout the course, participants will be
able to access each lesson’s documentation through the Association’s website
(www.unionedirittiumani.it). All registrations have to be sent to the UFTDU’s
